SkillsFuture for Enterprise FAQ

All companies registered or incorporated in Singapore, including non-business entities (e.g. Voluntary Welfare Organisations, or VWOs, and societies) and sole proprietorships are eligible for course fee subsidies. Employers who sponsor their eligible employees -Singaporean, Permanent Resident, and Long Term Visitor Pass Plus (LTVP+) for SSG-funded courses will receive subsidies to lower the costs of training.

Baseline course fee subsidies are available to lower the training fee when you sponsor your Singaporean, Permanent Resident, and Long Term Visitor Pass Plus (LTVP+) employees for SSG-funded courses.
For Singaporean employees:

40 years old and above: Up to 90% enhanced course fee subsidies under the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES)

Below 40 years old: Up to 70%
For Permanent Resident and LTVP+ employees:
- All ages: Up to 70%
For SMEs:
Singaporean, PR and LTVP+ employees: Up to 90%

ETSS offers Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) up to 90% of course fee subsidies when you send your Singaporean, Permanent Resident or LTVP+ employees for SSG-funded courses. This includes sole proprietorships and non-business entities registered with ACRA (e.g. Voluntary Welfare Organisations, or VWOs, and societies)
SME Eligibility Criteria:

Registered or incorporated in Singapore

Your organisation’s employment size must not exceed 200, OR your organisation’s annual sales turnover must not exceed S$100 million

MCES offers Singaporeans aged 40 years old and above up to 90% of course fee subsidies for SSG-funded courses, and at least 90% of programme cost for MOE-subsidised full-time and part-time courses in the following institutions:

Autonomous Universities (NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD, SIT and SUSS)

Polytechnics

Institute of Technical Education

LASALLE College of the Arts and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts

National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC)

You do not need to apply for course fee subsidies/ETSS/MCES. You only need to pay the nett course fee and prevailing GST when you register with your training provider.

AP funding is a grant to help defray the manpower costs incurred when you send your Singaporean, Permanent Resident and LTVP+ employees for SSG-funded training courses. All enterprises registered or incorporated in Singapore are eligible for AP funding, including sole proprietorships and non-business entities registered with ACRA (e.g. Voluntary Welfare Organisations, or VWOs and societies).

AP funding rate: Flat rate fixed at S$4.50 per hour

Each organisation’s cap: S$100,000 per calendar year
You will be asked to declare your employees’ hourly salary information (before CPF deduction) on the Enterprise Portal for Jobs and Skills for AP claim. Use the AP calculator to find out the indicative amount you can claim.
Where to access the claims services
All claim services can be accessed on the AP funding page. AP funding will be disbursed via PayNow within two and a half weeks after submission of the AP Declaration.

After your employee has completed the training course, you will receive an email notification to submit your AP Declaration through the Enterprise Portal for Jobs and Skills (EPJS).

SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) is a S$10,000 credit provided by the government to further encourage enterprises to embark on business and workforce transformation (i.e.training).
SFEC provides an additional 90% funding support for out-of-pocket expenses when eligible enterprises send their employees for SSG-funded training courses.
There is no application required for SFEC. Enterprises that are eligible for SFEC will be notified by Enterprise Singapore in writing.

You may refer to the Skills Framework and look for your business sector. The Skills Framework provides key information on different sectors’ career pathways, existing and emerging skills required for occupations/job roles, as well as a list of training programmes for skills upgrading and mastery.

You may look for SSG-funded training courses in the course directory on the Enterprise Portal for Jobs and Skills (EPJS). Contact the training provider to register your employees for the identified training course.
